We are looking for a Business Development Associate to further grow our business in the Quebec market. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through prospecting, sales demos, webinars, and a variety of other BD activities. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. They must be comfortable making presentations, working with account managers, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and assisting in closing sales.

  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities and nurture relationships with established and new customers across your target territory.
  • Qualify incoming leads and project requests, identifying revenue opportunities
  • Act as a subject matter expert in promoting the adoption of design, additive manufacturing, and post-processing products and services into our key markets – aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, defence, general manufacturing, and healthcare
  • Work closely with the regional sales team and account managers to progress potential customers through the stages of our sales pipeline through high-impact activities – education, demos, webinars, meetings, benchmarks, feasibility analysis, and ROI modeling
  • Prospect for potential new clients in the pursuit of building a solid pipeline through various prospecting activities, including networking, social media, prospecting, webinars, trade shows, events, site visits, conducting on-site sales calls, and cold calling.
  • Build and deliver presentations that effectively communicate our product and service value proposition for a range of industries and applications
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory; Cold call as appropriate, and travel to different regions within the province to promote our company.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network;
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and following up to move opportunities through the sales funnel;
  • Collaborate with the regional account managers on public tenders and RFPs
  • Maintain customer relationships and ensure customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their business;
  • Coordinate with the applications engineering team to produce proposals, ROI models and feasibility studies
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, participate in identifying and developing the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators;
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM.

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration or Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Self-starter and requires little to no supervision to achieve targets. We are looking for a “Hunter” mentality that can drive new revenue opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Quebec business unit.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of business development, inside sales, or account management experience
  • Experience selling manufacturing services or manufacturing capital equipment is an asset.
  • Bilingual
  • Excellent digital literacy (Google G-Suite, CRM, PC, etc.)
  • Current, effective social media presence and understanding
  • Proven background in business development
  • Proven track record in strong presentation skills
  • Strong track record of business-to-business sales at a corporate level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to cold call potential clients confidently.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Travel – up to 50% of the time
