High Performance Steel for Series Tooling
Maraging steel has excellent mechanical properties and is easily heat-treatable using a simple thermal age-hardening process to obtain excellent hardness and strength. It's a hardenable steel with excellent machinability for many tooling applications.
Overview
Maraging Steel (MS1) is a steel powder that’s characterized by having excellent strength combined with high toughness. Parts are easily machinable after the building process and can by easily post-hardened to more than 50 HRC. This material is ideal for many tooling applications such as tools for injection molding, die casting of light metal alloys, punching, extrusion etc., and also for high performance industrial and engineering parts, for example in aerospace and motor racing applications.

Powered By DMLS
Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) is a laser-based technology of metal 3D printing that uses powdered metals. 3D printing with metal is the ideal alternative to complex designs that machining or casting can’t achieve as it offers the mechanical properties of aerospace standard materials and the design freedom of additive manufacturing.
