Part of the core marketing team at Proto3000, and reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Communications Lead will be responsible for the development, implementation, and long-term vision of our content and marketing communications strategy.
Your goal in this position is to communicate the Proto3000 story through inspired content. You’ll work closely with our marketing manager and graphic designer to create web and digital content, and sales and marketing collateral for a wide variety of media.
Some of the specific areas you’ll oversee include our corporate image, website content, social media channels, copywriting, advertising, lead generation campaigns, and original content marketing. You’ll coordinate and tell industry success stories and create case studies based on real customers. You’ll communicate with the media, influencers, and external publishing platforms to distribute those stories and press releases. And our sales teams will depend on the presentations, scripts, speeches, and webinars you help them build.

Degree/Diploma in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline
Experience in marketing communications, including:
A diverse portfolio of work demonstrating both creativity and content sensibility
Demonstrated ability to grow audiences and leads by creating and disseminating useful, informative, engaging content
Exceptional writing and editing skills, vocabulary and grammar usage, and knowledge of CP Style
Comprehensive understanding of social media, platform management and SEO/SEM best practices
Experience developing ads for varied social channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)
Ability to use meaningful metrics to inform decisions
Experience building content calendars
Experience marketing a product or service in a scientific field is a considerable asset, ex. in 3D printing and scanning, health sciences, engineering, manufacturing, etc.
Experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, HTML/CSS, InDesign and Microsoft Office, in particular Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Intermediate understanding of Google Analytics and Google AdWords
Experience working in a startup and high growth environment is an asset
